A three-day Summer Intensive with each day focusing on a different topic related to the company’s work.

Participants may register for each class individually or for all three courses together.
The 3-day package price is $125 (a savings of $25).

CREATING PHYSICAL CHARACTERS

Wednesday, June 20

The first day of the summer intensives will allow participants to explore the construction of dynamic and

recognizable human characters. The focus will be on a physical and playful approach. It is intended for people who want to know more about "physical theater"; and/or want to refresh their approach to "physicalizing a character".  TU’s Artistic Director Marc Frost will lead the course.

Class size is limited to 14 participants.

INTRO TO RED NOSE MASK

Thursday, June 21

The second day of the summer intensives will have participants exploring modern clown through the Red Nose Mask. The course will build towards the creation of original modern clown characters and “numbers”. Along the way, participants will learn about masks, physical authenticity and on-stage vulnerability.

TU’s Artistic Director Marc Frost will lead the course.

Class size is limited to 14 participants.

START YOUR OWN THEATER COMPANY

The third and final day of the summer intensives will have participants delving into the world of building a theater company from scratch. The focus will range from the philosophy behind creating an artistic organization to the logistics of setting up the company for success from day one. The course will build towards the creation of own’s company and practicing the art of “pitching” a project. 

TU’s Artistic Director Marc Frost will lead the course.
